The Genesis site footer (not to be confused with the footer widgets) usually displays at the very bottom of every page of your website.
By default, the site footer consists of a copyright notice and/or credits, but Genesis themes are designed to make it easy for you to change this to whatever you want, provided you know how to do it.
The filter to use is
genesis_footer_creds_text. The footer text passes through this filter before being parsed for any valid shortcodes and subsequently output.
The basic usage of the filter
genesis_footer_creds_text is below. Just replace
your_function_here with your function.
Example 1: change the text of the footer.
Example 2: remove the footer text altogether.
The only argument passed through this filter is the text to be output in the footer.
The default value of the filter is as follows:
[footer_copyright before="Copyright "] · [footer_childtheme_link before="" after=" on"] [footer_genesis_link url="http://www.studiopress.com/" before=""] · [footer_wordpress_link] · [footer_loginout]
There are no filters applied to
genesis_footer_creds_text by default.
